Mini Soccer Coaching
Coaching is critical to both the development and enjoyment for our young soccer players. Being a soccer coach does NOT require soccer experience. Please consider becoming a coach.
Coaches are required to complete:
- Respect in Sport course (free online course)
- This course must be completed prior to registering as a coach. This is a requirement from RAMP/MSA starting this year.
- For completed courses you can find your RIS (Respect in Sport) number here: Respect in Sport Number
- Child Abuse Check - Submit the form to your director.
- DO NOT submit the form to the Child Abuse Registry Unit yourself. The fee for doing so will not be reimbursed. The club has their own process for submitting the applications free of charge.
- To be completed every 3 years
- Criminal Record Check
- Canada Soccer Training
- NCCP Number
- Required on the coaches registration form
- Everyone can obtain a NCCP number, it tracks coaches training.
- NCCP number is not specific to soccer, you may already have a number from other coaching such as hockey.
- NCCP number can be created and/or obtained from: "The Locker".
All fees associated with these requirements are fully reimbursed. Existing active checks are sufficient.
Directors will contact coaches regarding specifics of these requirements.
Coaches registration will begin prior to general registration. Keep in mind that no coaches mean no season.
Please contact the director if you have questions or are interested in becoming a coach. SWCCminisoccer@gmail.com
